Delightfully dark, spooky and filled with some of the eeriest villains around, this is one to watch.
We meet Florizel as she is gathering mushrooms to feed herself and her Gammer. She hides off the path when she hears a carriage rumbling towards her home and is stunned into silence as she watches the Gobbelino siblings alight and begin arguing.
At first, as the reader, it is uncertain what the danger truly is but as you delve in and get to know Witchetty Hollow and its inhabitants, you realise just how dark and twisty this story is. The unexpected bump in the woods of a sack baby jumping from the carriage makes Florizel question the siblings intent.
As the story progresses, it becomes clear these villains are truly up to no good though their shop suggests otherwise!
