It is so good to be back at Home Farm with Elliott and Virgo plus their offspring, Vesper and Aster. It’s like a reunion of sorts and I loved this as much as I loved the original God Squad stories!
Vesper is a talented footballer but needs to learn to let others on her team have their moments. This lesson will stick with Vesper as she navigates the Underworld and tries to save the world from Kizin, Maya God of Death.
Alongside her despised cousin Aster, Vesper must travel to Xibilban to save her Dad and Aunt as well as the entire world. Kizin is a trickster and so they must constantly have their wits about them to survive. It takes both their special abilities to see them through and they will need to learn team work and respect to do so.
I love the threads linking us back to the original stories, especially Patricia Horse’s Bum! Elliott and Virgo may be grown up but they still love Home Farm and will do anything to save it.
I recently met the wonder that is Maz Evans and she is so lovely and charming! Hoping our paths cross again soon!
