I love a sequel to a fast paced, exciting, environmental story. The Light Thieves was exciting and it was building up an intricate plot line with a crazed villain and disastrous consequences for his actions. It introduced us to Shelli, Jeffrey and Grian, unlikely friends who have surpassed all expectations and are actually saving the world!
Search for the Black Mirror, thankfully begins with a handy recap of all the exciting events in book 1. It’s especially handy as I read The Light Thieves several months ago and I truly appreciated the seeing the story line mapped out again.
In this eventful story, Howard Hansom has pitted the world against our daring trio. He has them labelled “Wanted” and they must go underground to protect themselves and continue the hunt and fight to save the sun and the world. Some harsh truths will be discovered in this book- and Grian, especially, will learn to trust his heart and hold fast to his courage.
New friends are discovered and come out to help at just the right times of need.
My only complaint is that I now have to wait for the finale- book three!
