Luna and Poppa are back in another gorgeously illustrated story. Previously we saw them mend the moon and now they need to save the sun.
When a swelteringly hot sun decides to take a dip in the ocean, things change drastically in the world, it turns dark and is neither night or day. The sun begins to cool down…and it is up to clever Luna and her Poppa to find ways to help.
As in Mending the Moon, the pair enlist help from animals around them. Dolphins, whales, monkeys and birds all swoop in and do their part in Saving the Sun.
Lyrical and soft in text, these stories are wondrous and bring to life a joyous relationship between Luna and Poppa but also between them and the world around them.
