Dexter is a school dog and quickly gets put to work with the children, from making them smile, nudging them to feel less lonely and helping them find safe spaces. I love that, as you meet each child in the class, that Dexter finds ways to help and support them. Each student is unique and the dog knows just what to do.
It is charming, colourful and utterly heartwarming. It celebrates the diversity of a school, the joy children feel when given the gift of a dog who loves unconditionally and the wonderful feeling of belonging.
