Absolutely brimming with facts, fascinating illustrations and intellectuals from across time and place. Darwin is a world-renowned name and you can’t help but admire that Sarah Darwin has continued in her great-great-grandfather’s steps in learning and sharing facts about evolution.
Every double page spread is a feast for the eyes as you uncover life in its smallest forms through to humans and our impact on the world and nature.

The book has the look, feel and smell of a classic tome on the history of life. The pages are designed to look like scrapbook pages, notepaper or frames on walls, and the clever use of book imagery along the bottom of the pages keeps readers on track with the historic time period.
It is hard to turn your eyes away from each page. It was easy to get lost in the foliage, seas and soil as you read and learn about important discoveries, key people and amazing creatures.

I can see this being devoured by readers dipping in and out of history, discoveries and the incredible artwork. I loved it and plan to keep it in the permanent collection! I keep finding bits I had missed so clearly more time is needed with this one.
