This is a brilliant book, especially for sports enthusiasts as gymnastics takes a central role. With so much focus on gymnasts and their incredible skills and talents, it was lovely to read a story like this.
There is plenty of technical terms and descriptions which will likely ignite a spark of interest in readers to learn more or to join in! I found it fascinating and look at gymnastics with a greater sense of awe now.
Pearl and her friend Ryan, win a coveted space on the Mini-Elites and know the training road ahead will be hard but they are willing to work hard. They have worked hard to get to this point and believe in themselves.
Within the training and world of gymnastics, there are events that cause suspicions and uncertainty! Is there a curse on this club?However, Pearl is a wonderful role model with her determination, perseverance and self care! She will inspire young readers to follow in those encouraging footsteps.
I loved the positivity of this book and would welcome more from Pearl and the team!
