Things that go Bump by Kathryn Foxfield

Goonies meets Gremlins is an ideal description of this book and it made me remember that once I would have loved to have had a famous flat pack store all to myself. This book flips that notion on its head as a group of 5 “friends” camp out overnight at the mystery Flatpack to hunt for monsters.

Olive and Ada are ex best friends and are joined by Emily, Rube and Jack in this epic adventure. Filled with a hunt for monsters, a Karen and twins Bob and Bill, who are on their own quest, this book will have you laughing and searching under your bed for weird critters.

As night settles, the group try to fend off three strange creatures who seem to be using the groups own fears against them. At the same time, Karen and her minions are trying to cut off escape routes meaning an ever closing circle is becoming an issue.

What will the friends discover throughout their ordeal and what role has Karen played in other mysteries surrounding the Flatpack store?

This book has unmissable action, funny characters and an adventure to thrill- it is brilliantly written and will appeal to so many readers who want a thrill with their humour!

The characters have a very real feel to them and they will face fears and each other over the course of the evening, revealing their true selves to find true friendship!
