Coming in June with Usborne!
I spotted this proof cover on Twitter several days ago and I commented on how much I was looking forward to reading it. Then arriving home on Friday, I opened a delightful proof pack containing this story and a bag of sweets from Cousteau’s Confectionery- perfectly timed for a quiet Friday night.
I settled in with sweets and the story and then a few hours later emerged from my adventure with the Wanderday family, breathless and impressed.
Having been a massive Bastien Bon Livre fan, I was in no doubt to Clare Povey’s talent. This story is phenomenal, both in fiction but truth about the plight of our poor planet. The characters are relatable and courage shines from them, even when they are worried and scared. The Wanderday siblings are lovely, with a deep respect for each other and their parents. Especially their mother, Nellie, who is a world famous filmmaker and activist.
It is with her disappearance that our story truly begins. Flo and Joseph are determined to find her, even though the danger is high! Flo and Joseph are plunged into the ocean with a set of hijacked coordinates, a stolen submarine and their best friends. What more do you need for an adventure?
I loved this story and had to read it from cover to cover in one amazing go! I would love to read more about this family and to see them go on more adventures together!
