This series is hilariously funny, filled with Maz Evans uncanny humour and word play. Having listened to her narrate the audio books for Who Let the Gods out, I can fully imagine her voice and wit when I am reading.
In this, the second in the spin off series, we are back with Vesper and Aster after their battle with Kizin in the underworld. A dangerous secret gets revealed to Vesper quite early on and she has to deal with the repercussions of this new information.
Isis, believing to know the answers, takes drastic action with Vesper and Aster, sending them to the underworld to save the sun and Ra. Can they save the sun and all the world, again? What will happen when their hearts need to be weighed- Will they both be honest and truthful when the questions are asked?
While funny, there are some lovely moments that will make you smile throughout this story!
So happy to see a third in this series coming! Anything by Maz Evans is popular with readers of all ages!
