I am sure we have all wished for the weekend to be longer or for Monday to never come but I doubt any of us has ever had that wish granted as Cory has!
He is struggling with maths, bully Will Higgs and an embarrassing show biz Dad. When Cory reaches boiling point, he makes the wish just as a firework explodes rendering him stuck on a loop of Sundays!
He has to go through the same day several times, some really ending well and others the same as the day before. What needs to change and how can he find his way back to Monday?
It turns out part of the answer sits with Agatha, a girl from his math class. She too, is stuck on the same loop as she is worried about her mother’s illness and the results being shared on Monday.
Can the pair figure this out and put a day of wrongs into rights?
Cory is a lovely boy, he just wants to have good friends and for his dad to be successful. It takes some time for him to realise just who his dad is throughout the endless Sundays, but it is such a heartwarming journey.
Having attended Lisa’s Ipswich book launch at Dial Lane Books, we were given a glimpse into her history as a writer and heard her being praised by her editor! It was a lovely event and there is certainly plenty of praise for this book!
