This is just perfection!
I started it one afternoon and in between the normal day to day, I kept going back. A few pages here and there and I just wanted more.
Ember loves the flame birds, and awaits their annual migration excitedly. This year, she believes her Pa will take her flame chasing. Boats from around the world arrive to watch the flame birds take off and soar towards their home, but no one has ever found where they live.
When Ember is left behind, she is devastated. Even more so when a year passes and her Pa hasn’t returned. The flame birds are back and Ember is even more desperate to find her Pa. She befriends Stanley and his mother, convincing them to take her flame chasing. Enticed by the cinderling that Ember has found, they embark on an adventure.
Whirlpools, nine masted ships and a rich baddie make this an exciting story. The bond between Ember and Hope, her cinderling, is wondrous and her unselfishness is to be rewarded.
With so much at stake, will Ember find the home of Hope in time to save her? Will Stanley and his mother forgive her for her actions?
I loved this story for the magic, family and making wishes for the right reasons!
