The Beanstalk Murder by P.G. Bell

This book combines several of my favourite features of stories- mystery, magic and mayhem, all served up on a platter of perfection!

PG Bell, I loved your Train to Impossible Places series but feel mystery is your true calling. I didn’t even have an inkling and went from suspect to suspect until the very end! Cleverly written and planned, this world spanning mystery brings humans and giants together.

This new relationship is frought with the danger of being squished and finding communication a bit tricky! Anwen and frenemy Cerys are caught up in this giant sized mystery when they get stuck on a beanstalk growing into the Sky Kingdom. They must break the news that the giant who destroyed their town has been murdered. When they break the news, it sends the Sky kingdom into mourning. Anwen, Cerys and new friends Tonino and the Captain must figure out whodunnit and why!

I love the fairytale elements of giants and the beanstalk, the gold coins the size of a house and magical beings forming part of the human world. It is an epic sized mystery!

This is truly an enjoyable story! I would love to see more mysteries from P.G. Bell!
