Delta and the Lost City by Anna Fargher

Anna Fargher writes heartwarming and courageous tales featuring animals who tug at our heartstrings and build a sense of hope in us. Her newest story features Delta, another animal you will come to love.

While the focus of the blog tour is on how brilliant Anna’s story is, it is also worth sharing some of the internal illustrations from David Dean. All black and white, they are detailed and significant in sharing some of the emotion and action of the story.

As I was reading Delta’s story, I was immersed in the illustrations as well. I know children will find them helpful throughout the story. They help bring to life the society in which this story is set, one that is quite far removed from today. I am not sure I would have survived the Roman era!

I adored this story and it firmly cemented my views on Anna’s writing talents. I smiled, cried and powered through this incredible story!

I urge you to pick up Delta and the Lost City to immerse yourself in David Dean’s illustrations as well as Anna Fargher’s Roman adventure. Both compliment each other perfectly.
