While reading the “tasty introduction”, I found this sentence and it is a perfect taste of what you can expect from this book, “Get ready to chow down on some fang-tactic animal facts”.
This book is all about the sometimes terrifying mouths of animals in the world from lionesses to mosquitoes. The differences in structure, teeth, use and danger is more fascinating than you can imagine, or at least I thought so as I was reading.
Lovely and detailed illustrations fill the pages and much research must have been conducted to get those details correct. I know young readers will find the facts, puzzles and games a brilliant mix of learning and enjoyment.
It turns out my knowledge of birds is rather poor but I had fun guessing and discovering more about bills and beaks. You can learn so much from this book and it is perfect for dipping in and out of as much as you like. Something my shark mad son had fun doing!
