Joey and her friends have entered a diorama competition and are at the local Victorian museum for the final. Also in attendance is arch nemesis Harry! He is a bit arrogant and dismissive of Joey and her friends.
Just before the winners announcement, both Harry and Joey find themselves kidnapped by three monsters- bad luck agents from the Ministry of Mischief in ImpWorld. Taken through a secret portal to this new world, Joey and Harty must put aside their differences and focus on eacaping back home.
Their adventure will challenge their views about each other and about the three agents who have taken them. Named Szlice (responsible for paper cuts), Stubbz (stubbed toes) and Warezat (holder of lost items), the three try to balance humans’ good luck with the bad!
The agents are determined to feed Joey and Harry to the king of the imps and as the adventure progresses, this plan changes as kindness and leadership are shared and perspectives change.
Joey and Harry both struggle in school though neither like to focus on that and they both need to have more faith in themselves. I love how they overcame their problems and figured out new ways to work together with humour and interesting outcomes!
Such a joyous way to spend an afternoon- children will absolutely love this!
