Escape Room Game Zero by Christopher Edge

This is a perplexing adventure and as you head into each chapter, you may find yourself considering what is real and what is a game.

It’s entirely clever in design and plot and I admit to re-reading elements to ensure I was following along.

Imagine a virtual escape room but real- that perhaps makes no sense but Eden is lured into an escape room called The Escape by AMI. Clues had been left and she expected to find an online code. What she found was an entrance to the game where it was slowly becoming her reality, nothing virtual for her.

Meeting Ted, a boy wearing a VR headset in his home, he believes Eden to be an NPC, someone built into the game. He can’t believe she is real, even when injury is caused to her.

As they venture further into the game, they are tasked with finding three keys based on obscure clues. Eden is brilliant at this game but is finding it harder and harder to remember anything before the game. What she does feel is pain! She gets hurt while Ted believes it to be amazing graphics.

It will be entirely up to Eden to finish the game and get to the end! But will the end really be the end of the game or of Eden?

Thrilling, exciting and all too real in terms of AI and the constant changing world of tech! Readers will become so engrossed in this story. It’s perfect for young gamers!
