I am absolutely blown away by this adventurous story. Felix has premonitions and tries to warn those around him of the danger he sees. Mostly, no one believes him and he is labelled a freak and troublemaker.
When he is kicked out of school, a “teacher” arrives to take him to a new school, where he must sign the Offical Secrets Act. It’s not a typical school but one where those who can speak with ghosts, those who can dream weave and others use their talents and skills to help the world.
Premonitions are used to stop disasters, or lessen their impact. They are used to help the PM to take action. Felix wishes he could speak to his parents who died but they aren’t old enough ghosts to be seen. He does talk to his grandad who helps him see things.
When Felix brings nightmares to life, those in the future agency know something evil is lurking but they need more time and clues to stop it from happening. Their suspicions are not correct and Felix is left to deal with situations that out him and his new friends in danger.
It was so great to meet Felix and feel part of his world. He has so many strong emotions and he must use the anger from his parents death to control his celestaur, Seren, a crow, but his anger may yet cause more issues. It is clear there is much more to the darkness than Felix can understand!
I completely ignored life while I read this and it was bliss! Now though, I need the next instalment!
