Elodie, Ed and their Dads are heading to Norway for their summer holidays. They haven’t said why but the family know it is to help find the other two Artezan masters.
Elodie and Ed are a shared master but there are two other undiscovered masters still waiting to be found. If they can find each other then they can control magic better. It has been spiralling out of control for over a year and it is widespread.
When their ship sinks leaving them stranded on an Artezan island, they find themselves welcomed and cared for. Rescue is hard to arrange as the island is secret to non-Artezans and doesn’t appear on any maps.
As they live in this community, some new friends are found along with whispers and hard truths. When the family realise the danger they are in, it becomes too late and they must fight.
Ed and Elodie struggle with what happens and as a reader, I can’t quite believe how much happens to these two. Their courage, determination and love for each other keeps them going.
It’s a cracking great read and I already know that it will be too long to wait for book 3.
