Naeli is a young girl who has just lost her beloved mother. Grieving and feeling lost, a letter of hope arrives from England with a ticket for a sailing in a few weeks. Believing it to be from her Papa, whom she hasn’t seen since she was five, she plans her journey.
Her three month sailing introduces her to Jack, a young boy heading to boarding school. They form fast friends and when Naeli finds herself in a bit of trouble, she finds Jack and they go on an adventure for answers.
Naeli has been told her father is lost, feared dead on the moors. Her Uncle Daniel has sent for her and the violin but he is not a pleasant person and demands she play song after song but she is not sure what he wants.
Determined to escape, Naeli and Jack find their way to an estate where Naeli’s father disappeared. What she discovers there is life changing and she must fight for hope.
It’s an absolutely incredible story, fast paced and filled with a brilliant cast of characters from the villainous Mr and Mrs Graves to Jack and Naeli!
