Wish you Dead by Rebecca Westcott

This is a fantastic tale of teenage angst, family drama and powerful witches!

Morgana, at 12 years old, is dropped off at her father’s house and abandoned by her mother. She rages and is filled with anger ensuring no one is spared her wrath. When her step-mother disappears one evening, Morgana believes it to be her fault as she “cast a hex” for this to happen.

4 years later and Morgana has reinvented herself as the most popular girl in school but she holds all the cards and can make or break people in her friendship group, sometimes just to show her power.

When she begins to really hex people, she pays a price for the karma but wants to wrong those who wrong her. Her hexes get more and more powerful…leading to dangerous actions and consequences.

When she meets Celeste, she feels kinship with another witch and Celeste teaches kindness and justice, not wrath in her spells. When someone is killed, Morgana believes it to be her fault. But could someone actually be targeting them?

Reading along with the action, you can’t help but suspect everyone and doubt everything. It’s a fantastic, edge of your seat thriller with the major players finding themselves hurt, embarrassed or cast out of the group.

But just how powerful is Morgana? Read to find out!
