Well, all good series must come to an end and this was has just had the most perfect ending of all.
From the moment I first read Crookhaven, I never imagined just how much I would adore this series and the characters within. The entire premise of the books has captured imaginations and hearts. It is being made into a BBC series and I cannot wait for further details on that!
Gabe, Penelope, Ede, Ade, Amira and Villette are still a tightly knit crew and are absolute high achievers in all areas of Crookhaven. They formed a bond early on and through the banter and teasing, they are a well-oiled machine. When they must break in to Crookhaven as part of their “break-in”, there are additional needs added to this challenge.
They are not only trying to win the break-in but lure others of the Nameless in with them for one final showdown. The Nameless have proven their cruelty time and time again but Gabe and his crew are ready and not willing to lose this final battle.
So much happens in this book and your heart will be pounding as you read, and I must admit, I cried at several times through reading. I just think this entire series has been one of the best I ever read!
