I initially spotted this book in my local Waterstones and I was immediately drawn to it. It just has this epic adventure vibe to it and I was keen to read it.
Being invited to be part of the blog tour was an easy yes please! Throughout the book are amazing illustrations that set the story perfectly. I spent ages flipping through looking at these before I began reading.
Caveat is a strange town with strange customs and events. Viola and Wilmur live with Hestur, who grumbles about children constantly. The real adventure begins with stories told to the children when they were younger, about pirates, and adventure.
When the stories become real, the adventure becomes something much more important to both Viola and Wilmur. They are on a quest to find their parents with a band of eccentric pirates!
It’s exciting, adventurous and a cracking great story! I loved getting to know the characters and to see where this adventure would take them! You really can’t beat a solid pirate story!
