Mole sets off on a quest ahead of winter to find more moles and to build a home together with them. As he walks, he meets Owl and Owl thinks this quest is a great one. So the two become friends and head off together.
Along the way, they meet Squirrel and then Rabbit and the promise of finding family is too great to ignore. The four quickly discover they like spending time together and along the course of their walk, discover they have become a family.
