Silent Night by Emma Read

This sci-fi, horror Christmas story is perfect for the colder, darker evenings! A family holiday becomes something far more sinister and scary when the adults go missing on Christmas Day.

When cousins, Masen, Conor and Joss arrive to stay together over the Christmas holiday, they find there is little room and they have to camp in a caravan during a storm. The house, where their parents are staying, has strange trees in every room, although these ones seem to be covered in something. While they are strange, they are not alarming to anyone until the next day, when the adults seem to be missing.

Making some bold decisions, the trio must figure out what is happening all while determining who can be trusted! They set out into the nearest town to find help, but instead find people acting very oddly.

At times, I needed to pause to really enjoy the thrilling and terrifying nature of the story- it really is quite scary at times! I think readers will thoroughly enjoy reading this and fans of Jennifer Killick will love it!
