The Book of Stolen Dreams, The Final Battle by David Farr

It took me longer than expected to get to this final book in the trilogy. Perhaps some of that was not wanting the series to end. David Farr writes that Rachel and Robert Klein kept him company during lockdown and I am grateful they did.

This is an exceptional series and the characters are bold, brave and loyal. The villain is as villainous as we like- evil, conniving and filled with hatred.

In this final book, Krasnia is celebrating its freedom and families are joyous, living their best lives and watching their favourite leading man in his many movies. Emil Bonfleur is an inspiration to many and when he goes missing, Krasnia mourns him.

Discovering that Emil has survived his 8 days in the desert, many are filled with wonder but Rachel is filled with pain for she knows something is not quite right with him. Could the unthinkable be true?

Rachel and her family will once again need to become revolutionaries and fight for Krasnia and its freedom! A fantastic end to an exciting and wonderful trilogy!

If you haven’t yet read the series, below is my review for The Secret of the Blood-Red Key, book 2 in the series.
