Meet Aahana, or Aaha for short! She is ten and lives with her mum, stepdad and little brother Barun. The family are off on holiday to the South of France but the trip is off to a rocky start with their flight being delayed.
Due to the very early start to the day, Aaha is sleepy and she dozes off while waiting for the flight. She then wakes to find herself 50 years in the future and no longer at the airport but at the spaceport. There are plenty of high tech differences between her world and the future one but Aaha’s trademark humour is still evident,
She loves to tell a joke and even her parents are impressed (and sometimes annoyed) with the constant jokes! She is a loving daughter and though she is sometimes jealous, she is also a great big sister.
I think this book will find its home with readers who like humour, fantasy and imagination! It’s a great read, very accessible and fun. The illustrations help the reader to picture the future and to get to know Aaha and her family better!
