How to be Free by Daisy May Johnson

I am not sure there is a more perfect series of stories. I mean, these books have nuns flying helicopters, biscuits hidden around the school and an open door policy for anyone who needs to be there.

We have met Calla, Edie and the Good Sisters in the first books of the series and we learned their stories and history. This story features a dual story of Good Sister June and Hanna. Their bond is wonderful and heartwarming coming together over a shared love of books, Victoria sponge and friends.

When Hanna returns from a holiday to find Good Sister June missing, she immediately rallies the troops. There are multiple events taking place- from protests and train journeys to boat rides and Kale paste dreams, all while Edie, Calla and Hanna head off to search for their missing nun.

This is such a lovely story and I adore the girls and their very creative talents and skills. They are allowed to discover themselves and be who they want to be and that is just the most heartwarming part of these stories.

The footnotes must also be mentioned- they add a brilliant element to each story, with humour and facts being built into the story via this clever system!

This is a series not to be missed!
