Nothing is the same from book to book aside from the characters. The plots change, the danger heightens and the humour is enough to have you laugh-crying amidst unimaginable horrors.
And we all keep coming back for more from the Queen of middle grade horror. I have so much time for this series and for the Uber-talented Jennifer Killick not just with stories but have you seen her lovable plush creatures. I was lucky enough to be gifted a sweet duck, which we have named Gus in honour of my favourite character in the book.
When the group embark on a school trip abroad, they must board a boat and they all have the same feeling of impending danger. The depths of the ocean. The unknown. There is one Latchitt unaccounted for and they are all expecting the worst.
When the worst inevitably happens our five teens leap into action but are they even prepared for the latest Latchitt creature?
I laughed. Smiled, cringed (Thanks to Mr C for his continuous personality and banter throughout the series) and held my breath as though I were underwater myself!
Entirely epic and there are hints of more to come! Please never let this series end!
