If you haven’t yet met Bridget Vanderpuff, then I urge you to find a copy of her first adventure to get acquainted! She is a rather fabulous and determined young lady- one with many tricks up her sleeves and in her formidable hair. If you have read her first three adventures, then you are in for even more of a treat with this journey to the mountains!
Bridget stormed onto the book scene a short time ago and has captured hearts and imaginations. Not one to sit still, she seems to actively seek trouble and have fun ending it. She also seems to enjoy pulling her friend Tom into scrapes.
As she arrives from a rather exciting train journey to meet a chocolatier aptly named, Viviene Velvete, she discovers a terrified town of people and news that a chocolate devouring monster stalks the town. This will truly put Bridget and her skills to the test! Bridget is one who believes firmly in justice and she will not stop until she uncovers the truth.
Exciting, adventurous, mysterious and at times hilarious- what more can you want from a book?! The only issue I generally have is the craving for cream puffs, delectable treats and pastries when I read one of these books.
It seems right to mention my sadness at this being the end of a series! I have adored this girl and her scrapes- she will always have a place on my shelves!
