This is the thrilling and fast paced sequel to Shadow Thieves, a brilliant debut from 2025.
We meet Tom as a London street rat in book one, just as he begins his new life at Beaufort’s, a school for thieves. He struggles to fit in, he is grieving for the loss of his father figure, Morris and isn’t from a long standing thieving family. He is clever, cunning and talented though!
At the end of book one, a deadly virus is released and the school goes into quarantine and at the beginning of book two, we see each house group heading out of quarantine for an adventure. Unbeknownst to Tom’s house, they are sailing straight into danger.
The Corsair has been left a compass in a will of a well know thief and it contains secrets to the location of an impressive treasure. He sets everyone off in groups to find it, but they are all followed by the enemy and this enemy are intent on capturing or killing!
Honestly, the pace is relentless and the dangers constant for Tom and his friends but as a reader you must find the same stamina to keep up as I can guarantee you won’t want to stop reading!
Brilliantly imagined and with twists, turns and memorable characters, this series is incredible. There are many moving parts to this series, with the Shadow Thieves being betrayed and learning who to trust…Tom tries to prove himself time and time again but he is learning to trust his own instincts more as each day passes.
