Henry and Audrey are best friends and business partners in Audrey’s glass-blowing enterprise. When Henry gets his heart broken, he suggests that he and Audrey fake-date to make the ex jealous.
Amidst this romance and comedy, Audrey pays for her tuition to a fellowship against her parents wishes, using their emergency fund! Now, she needs to find a way to raise $10,000 to replace the money borrowed. Can she do it, with the help of friends, before her parents return from their vacation?
At so many points, I wanted to shout “don’t do it” to Audrey but the entire story is seamless and brilliant! While she does everything to raise money, she also discovers more about herself, her actual relationship with Henry and her goals for her business.
Audrey and Henry are fantastic characters, perfectly suited for each other! The rest of the cast are funny, typically high school and ready for adventure- which they certainly get with Audrey’s plans!
